La Grange Plan Commission
Hearing on Proposal for La Grange Place
JoAnn Jacobson, 141 N La Grange Rd
Below is the text of a petition read by Ms. Davidson. It was signed by 53 residents of the La Grange Towers condominiums, which directly abuts a portion of Gordon Park that the La Grange Park District wants to sell to the developer.
PETITION OF OBJECTION
We, the undersigned, as members of the La Grange Tower Condominium Association, owners of property within the condominium building and as residents of the building located at 141 North La Grange Road, La Grange, Illinois, do officially object to the rezoning of the northwest portion of Gordon Park as requested by Atlantic Realty Partners and to the proposed development as presented in the application of Atlantic Realty Partners.
Approving the requested rezoning would be directly contrary to the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan which had significant citizen input, the Park District Master Plan and the Zoning Code. Both existing and future residents of our condominium will lose a major contributor to their quality oflife and the value of our property and which will negatively affect public health and welfare.
We urge the Plan Commission of the Village of La Grange to find for significant changes to the proposed development, removal of the row houses in Gordon Park as presented in the proposal and impose sufficient restrictions on the proposed development to protect the many interests, present and future, of the citizens of La Grange.
So stating we commit our signatures of our own free will.
